Calibers — West-African export scheme
T1 is the largest. T7 is the smallest.
Maurimar uses the West-African export caliber scheme. If you are cross-checking against another supplier's sheet, verify the direction of their numbering — some suppliers in other regions invert it.
Treatments
Three treatments, two products, your choice per shipment.
Whole (emptied head)
Octopus left whole; head emptied of internal organs; presentation-grade.

Whole octopus mechanically tenderized before freezing to break down muscle fibers, producing a more supple final texture and a characteristic splayed, petal-like presentation of the tentacles. Industry alias: "Flower" (English rendering of FR fleur).

Buyer-specified cuts, prep, or preparations on request.
Applies to: both productsTreatment is selected at order time per shipment. Different containers in a single quote can carry different treatments.
Packaging
30 kg standard cartons. Custom on request.
Master carton — IQF
Individually quick-frozen pieces packed loose in a polyethylene-lined master carton.
Master carton — block-frozen
Block-frozen octopus in standard master carton, plastic-wrapped block.
Private label / custom
Custom packaging, branded printing, or buyer-specified inner units on request. MOQ applies.
